Newest of new...

Finally our little boy is here. It was a very long pregnancy for me, and for everyone else involved. My poor family had to put up with a lot. I was on modified bedrest for 8 weeks! I was also on Terbutatline for 8 weeks!! This medication was to stop contractions I was having. Talk about a long pregnancy...I went on 3 ambulance rides to the ER with bleeding, first time at 31 weeks, then 34, and then finally at 36 weeks. Oh yeah, that was fun. Thankfully the one at 36 weeks was the last one. We have had so many people praying for us, people I haven't even met! We are so greatful for this. God has seen us through this whole thing and we are so blessed to have a healthy son. His name is Benjamin Scott. He weighed 6#13oz, 19" long, born April 13th! Not bad for 4 weeks early. :)) If I had gone full-term he would have been huge! Ben is doing so well. When he came out, he was breathing on his own, and was doing well. They kept him for a few days to make sure he didn't have problems later. We couldn't be any happier!! Ben is the best baby!! So far he is very happy, and just sleeps away and wakes up for feedings. This is definelty making it a lot easier on me and I am able to get pretty good sleep. :)) yeah for that!! Let's hope he stays this easy. :) So here are a few pictures of Benjamin in his first few days. Thank you everyone for all your help and prayers during my pregnancy!!
Happy Birthday!

A little late

Here are some random photos I have been meaning to post. Hopefully everyone is having a good week. Mine is getting better today, thankfully my cold is starting to diminish. :) Oh, one cute thing Kelly says now, is Brrrr. If I ask her to say the word 'cold', she says Brrrrr. It is so cute!

2009

It's already a new year, and I can't believe it!! I didn't even get up my Christmas photos up yet. How sad is that. We found out back in december that we are going to be having a boy. This is really cool news for us. We were both hoping for a boy. The only down side to this pregnancy is that right now I have placenta previa, which is where the placenta is covering my cervix.(not good) So basically if it stays this way I will have to have a C-section. There is a slim chance it may move, but not likely. So, I will keep you posted on that. I must say shopping for boy clothes is totally different, and I will say so far I like girl clothes better. Actually I am a little scared to have a boy. I mean seriously, girls are pretty easy, and boy parts are not what I am used to. Thank goodness I have lots of friends and relatives with little boys to give boy advice and tips. More news, my mom finished her radiation Dec. 22nd! hooray! She is feeling good, and is really glad to be done. Kelly is still doing very well, and is getting cuter and cuter each day. so chaty and fun. not much else new. just waiting until may 10th (my due date). Don't get me wrong, I enjoy pregnancy, but I am ready to be done and get in shape. Here is a pic of our little dude.

Blogger gone missing

So I think I post about once a month. Yikes, that is so bad. I really want to do it more often, but I just don't know what to put up sometimes. I guess I like to post pictures more than words. I guess you will just have to take what you can get.
The latest family news: I am now 14 weeks along with baby #2 and things seems to be going well. My mom started her radiation treatment today. She will go 5 days a week for 6 weeks! Yeah, that's a lot! Hang in there mom, you can do it. :) I guess that is really it for now. Oh, my sister Jen is in hygiene school in Yakima where she lives, and is liking it so far. It is a 2 year program, so she has this year and next. I am very proud of her.
This last weekend we went to Snoqualmie Falls. It was pretty cool, since we had so much rain this last week. I haven't been there in forever. Kelly had fun, and she just wanted to walk around everywhere. It was very cute. So here are some pics from this last weekend.

It's Official...

My happy 1 year old!!
My baby just had her 1st birthday, and I am pregnant again!! What? I know crazy right, but we will get back to that one ( the pregnancy that is.) So we had Kelly's 1st bday party on saturday and it was a lot of fun. Kelly loves all her new toys and had a great time eating her cupcake. Thankfully auntie Kate was able to take some great pictures of that for me.

Kelly has really become quite verbal. She loves to talk to you, and of course I have no clue what she is saying, but she gets so into it. She has not started walking yet, but she has taken a couple steps here and there. I think the time is coming very soon when she will be walking full-time.

More family news: My mom has a second breast cancer surgery tomorrow to remove the remaining cancers cells, hopefully they will get it all this time. :) Let's pray they do. I really hope this is the last surgery and she can get on with the treatment, which is unknow at this time what that will be. Most likely radiation. Please pray for a sucsessful surgery tomorrow. :))

Also we found out a few weeks ago that we are having another baby. I am due May 10th. Pretty shocking, but exciting. Scott and I are hoping for a boy, but really we don't care. Just another healthy baby is all we hope for. :)

So basically that is about it for now. Just enjoying the fall smells and colors! Gotta get me some Chai tea.

August Already!?

It cannot believe it is already August!! In a month and a half Kelly will be 1 year! Amazing. It has been a decent summer so far. Kelly is the best traveler in the world!! We went to South Carolina for my brother-in-laws wedding in July and it was very nice. I think it was the fastest wedding I have ever attended. I guess those southern weddings are quick. Not like up here where it seems to be an all-day event!! Sometimes simple is very nice. Erica looked beautiful and Eric very handsome, what a good-looking couple. (see photo) Anyhow, getting back to Kelly, she was THE BEST girl!! She slept the whole plane ride there and back, and was so good the whole trip. I am truly blessed with her. She is just so happy and such an easy going temperament. Here are a few pics from the wedding.

I guess blogging hasn't been my thing lately. It has been a pretty busy summer so far. We went to seabrook with the moeller family and stayed a couple nights, which was so much fun. We have moved to our new house, and even put in our lawn in the backyard(with some help from the parents). Thank you!!! Also Kelly is 9 months old. :)) And we have also found out some sad news...my mom has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer, so I ask for prayers for her. She is going to be having surgery sometime this summer. It is a slow growing cancer called Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS). So as you can see a lot has been happening, some highs, some lows, just as life goes.
